Delta Airlines partnered with Lumenbrite for the extensive redevelopment of their company-wide On-Board Manual, a digital guide outlining in-flight procedures. This digital manual is accessible on flight attendants' red Delta branded iPhones.
Lumenbrite taught a customized Adobe Illustrator class at their Tempe, Arizona, training center to instruct Delta's technical staff how to create their aircraft graphics for direct import into the technical document workflow.
Lumenbrite created an optimized workflow to allow the Delta technical staff to recreate all of the aircraft vector images that are used in the On-Board Manual.
The technical document framework was constructed using Adobe FrameMaker to effectively handle the manual's substantial size, managing multiple table of contents, and custom indices. Through a contemporary design and document restructuring, the refreshed On-Board Manual was successfully implemented.
