FrameMaker Training: Bootcamp

Overview

The Adobe FrameMaker Bootcamp Training is a comprehensive course that pairs and integrates both of our essential skills classes.

This course is a complete foundation that starts at a beginning level and progresses to an intermediate level of mastery.

Learn FrameMaker to author and publish long technical documents with enterprise-class tools with advanced features that make complicated layouts and page numbering simple. This FrameMaker course introduces the program as a word processing application with muscle. Create flowing text documents using reusable master pages, paragraph, table and character styles. Export pristine PDF documents that are ready for print. 

In this FrameMaker class, you will take advantage of long document support including book management, working with advanced numbering, markers and variables. Create sophisticated tables and rich formatting options that include footnotes, cross-references and more. Learn how to manipulate conditional documents and publish for different outputs. Work with templates and advanced formats to reuse design and content. Existing technical document editors will also benefit from a basic difference overview of FrameMaker vs. InDesign.

Your instructor will cover the pitfalls, and the best practices will be followed so that you are creating and exporting FrameMaker documents the right way in this Adobe FrameMaker training.

This course is a Frame Maker unstructured training that is applicable to FrameMaker 10, FrameMaker 11, FrameMaker 12, FrameMaker 2015 and FrameMaker 2017 versions. This means that the advanced XML structured features are not covered.

  • Utilize Reference pages to create and manipulate on page design and TOC systems
  • Create and Index, Table of Contents and other front/back matter for technical books
  • Learn export a variety of formats for print, web and help system
