Overview
Gain an understanding of the basic principles of planning and filming 360 degree virtual reality videos for social media and commercial use.
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the equipment and techniques needed to produce high-quality 360-degree video content. From filming interviews and events to creating engaging social media content, you will learn the skills necessary to create professional-grade video footage. The class is hands-on and will include hands-on time with gear, learning camera apps and creating VR videos. All footage taken during class will be edited to create a final class project that can include 360 corporate promos and training materials. If you are new to 360 video production, be sure to check out the example videos provided as an introduction to this exciting field.

- Understand field of view (FOV), aspect ratio
- Explore the intermediate codec workflow for compressed 360 files
- Create proxies for lightweight editing and making compression considerations
- Edit 360 videos for standard format and output
- Animate VR effects to change FOV
- Add easing to keyframes to change velocity
- Make speed changes with time remapping
- Utilize VR Projection settings and effects to adjust FOV
- Adding immersive video effects and transitions
- Create VR titles
- Utilizing third-party VR effects
- Install and apply LUTs to Log footage
- Use Lumetri to color correct and color grade footage
- Publish VR videos in Premiere Pro and Media Encoder
