Illustrator Training: Corporate Marketing 1

Overview

This course provides training for users who need to create professional quality corporate marketing materials and engaging communication pieces using the industry standard tool for vector graphic design.

This training enhances our Illustrator Essential Skills I class, and is specifically tailored for business professionals. Skills you will acquire are applicable for both small and large organizations.

You will work with well-designed projects which can be customized and even incorporated into your own workflow. During your class you will create:

Business logos, including new and recreations
Business cards, flyers and single page documents
Design guides and themes
Graphs, charts and maps
Infographics

You will use Illustrator to quickly manipulate and create Acrobat PDF documents, create mocks and dashboards for prototyping, create logos, brochures, and much more. This course starts at a fundamental level and works through intermediate concepts including color, typography and all of the "Live" features such as Live Type, Live Trace, Live Paint, and Live Color.

Our clientele in these classes include everyone from energy company employees to personnel from financial investment and banking firms. We also serve government agencies seeking effective branding and engaging communication strategies.

Get comfortable with the interface and workspaces
Understand the difference between vector and pastor graphics
Assign color profiles, units of measurements and pixel resolution for print and web projects
Learn to use Artboards for multi-page marketing projects
Learn to use drawing tools to create vector objects
Combine shape using Pathfinder Panel
Define color swatches and color groups to follow branding guidelines for artwork
Trace logo designs with the Pen Tool
Format text using character and paragraph formatting
Export artwork into various formats for print or web projects
